and Callao; in 1852 from Valparaiso, and Arctic Sea off Cape Lisburn; in 1853 from San Francisco; and in 1855 at sea, vicinity
of Valparaiso. The letters especially describe the situation in Italy in 1849, the west coast of South America, explorations
in the Arctic, and a visit to San Francisco. Some Wright family genealogical notes in typescript accompany the Mss.
